Bilby Room – 2 to 3 years of age

Our space for 2 year olds is designed to cater for the developmental needs of the younger child and is a vibrant, light filled room, catering to all areas of the Montessori curriculum, with a primary focus on Practical Life activities as well as more basic, introductory Montessori Materials. Great care and attention is paid to making this room a ‘home like’ environment offering a supportive and nurturing start to the Pre-School experience.

In this room there is a ratio of 1 educator to 5 children, and it is staffed by an enthusiastic, gentle and experienced team of educators. This room is currently limited to a maximum of 10 children per day. Children in this room attend under the Long Daycare scheme, within the hours of 7.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. Care is available 50 weeks a year. The fee for this room is one of the most competitive in Armidale at $78 per day ($73 per day for international families ineligible for CCS).

Most Australian citizens and permanent residents will be eligible for government rebates for enrolment within this room. Rebates include the Child Care Subsidy (CCS).

Staff carefully prepare their programming around the children who attend and are flexible enough to meet most individual needs.
